Our Pastors

PASTOR PETER TAN has been in fulltime ministry since January 1976. He was in the Baptist Theological Seminary, Penang for three years and in the final year served as Student Pastor in Reservoir Garden Baptist church.

In 1979, he went into a one year Word fast, after having a vision of his spirit man, and also started travelling and ministering in various churches in Malaysia and Singapore.

From 1981 to 1986, he was involved in starting The Word Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

In January 1986, the Lord Jesus appeared to him and taught him about the anointing of the Holy Spirit; teachings which he has summarised in his book, The Anointing of the Holy Spirit.

From 1986 to 1996, he was instrumental in starting a new church, Tabernacle of Glory, which grew rapidly raising many fivefold ministers. During the period of these ten years, he conducted many teaching seminars and healing conventions throughout South-east Asia which impacted many churches and ministries which have continued to grow; many tracing their early beginnings to the impact of his ministry.

At the end of 1996, he experienced major crises in his personal and family life which led him to move his family to Australia in 1997, where he spent the first two years under probation with the Assemblies of God under covering from Pastor Keith Ainge.

He spent most of the decade of 1997 to 2006 waiting on the Lord, fasting and prayer, and helping to set up small prayer groups and in small local church outreaches.

In February to March 2006, the Lord began to take him in a series of visions of heaven and the Spiritual World. Some of these visions and the insights gain were written in the book, The Spiritual World.

From 2006 to the present, Pastor Peter Tan has been involved in training Bible school students, pastors and other fivefold ministry. His moving, thirty-two year journey and progress in the ministry is described in his autobiography, The Road to Glory.

He has founded two churches, Cathedral of Glory in Australia (2008) and Singapore (2009) and is ministering regularly in New Zealand and Sabah, East Malaysia.

Whenever he is free, Pastor Peter also keeps an online blog of thought processes that passes each day. A full collection of Pastor Peter’s audio, text and video teaching materials can be found in his personal website at petertan.net
